Zenith People are working with our client who are a Manufacturer based here in the North-East and are looking to recruit an experienced Tendering / Proposal Manger on a permanent basis.  This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business who are well established and have a bright future ahead of them. The role is to lead and drive the tendering and proposal team to secure orders for project business to meet financial targets.The role will be responsible for setting strategy for Projects in conjunction with Operations Manager and Project Engineering Manager. The role responsibilities:
  • Support development of Capital Projects business strategy including bid strategy.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for Engineering improvements.
  • Resource planning to ensure that cost effective, high quality proposals can be delivered.
  • Ensure that processes are in place to be delivered and are effectively followed up on proposals submitted with and by the sales team.
  • Develop and maintain effective document control systems to ensure that all bid documentation is readily accessible throughout the project life cycle.
  • Ensure that team members knowledge of our products and applications is constantly being improved and up to date with market trends.
  • Efficiently produce required bid documentation in line with customer expectations and timescales agreed.
  • Support the identification, evaluation and agreement of contractual modifications requested by the customer.
  • Collaborate with the Project team and Supply Chain to identify, evaluate, approve and monitor vendors to support the division achieving its financial targets and longer term growth targets.
  • Ensure timely completion of performance assessments, PPPs and ongoing performance and development reviews including supporting talent review process.
  • Provide leadership by promoting team concepts, coaching, training, talent management and individual development.
 The person we're looking for:
  • Qualified to a degree level.
  • Experienced within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or similar
  • Previous experience leading a team across several locations
  • Ability to travel to client sites when required
  • Strong engineering knowledge of capital equipment

Zenith People are working with our client who operate within Fast Moving Manufacturing and are looking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be time-served and have previous experience of working in a fully automated production environment responding to electrical and mechanical breakdowns.The purpose of the position is to Carry out maintenance duties and responsibilities on your shift in a busy, Fast Moving, High Volume Manufacturing environment. The role responsibilities:
  • Adhere to health and safety aspects within the assembly maintenance team.
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental & Health & Safety standards in line with current certification.
  • Participate in 5S processes and procedures with your area of responsibility.
  • Ensure fast response and smooth operation of plant equipment to enable quality results.
  • Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance.
  • Use and suggest improvements for the TPM system / equipment to improve maintenance performance.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to improve departmental performance on safety, uptime, availability, maintenance, equipment modifications, plant, error proofing, technical systems and processes and cost down opportunities.
 The person we're looking for:
  • Must be time served to a minimum HNC.
  • Experience of working with robotics, PLC’s, HMI’s, specifically 5/6 Axis Robotic.
  • Be able to work own initiative and be able to liaise with other functions and departments at all levels within the Company.
  • Excellent fault finding and problem solving skills are essential.
  • Good communication and team playing skills are necessary.

Zenith People are working with our client who are a Manufacturer looking to recruit an Electrical/Equipment Engineer on a permanent basis.The successful candidate will be responsible for process and plant equipment while supporting site functions like Production, QA and Maintenance.   • Support the development of plant, working within a multi-disciplined team
  • Ensure all facilities are safe and legally compliant from design to integration and implementation, attending design reviews and working with equipment suppliers.
  • The successful candidates will have a broad-based experience in manufacturing and be able to demonstrate proven skills in the application of Facility engineering.
  • Set & Measure facility performance which are class leading, challenging but achievable.
  • Agree equipment strategies to ensure facility OEE is achieved and improved while life cycles are managed and maximized.
  • Provide technical support for maintenance to ensure equipment is kept in first class condition
  • Knowledge of the latest machine and equipment standards is essential
  • Ability to form a refurbishment strategy
  • Planning, Schedule Control & Project Management is required

 The person we're looking for:
  • Electrically biased engineer with some mechanical knowledge / skills
  • Knowledge of the latest machinery standards
  • Some PLC and systems knowledge is desirable but not essential (Siemens / Mitsubishi etc.)
  • Experience in complex technical manufacturing processes and/or special purpose assembly machines would be a distinct advantage.
  • Previous experience in high volume manufacture, clean/dry room experience is preferred but not essential
  • Knowledge of current legislation of machinery standards
  • Experience working within APQP, IAFT framework desirable
  • Must have an understanding of Engineering Drawings and be able to work from them
  • Previous Experience carrying out Design Reviews
  • Role will involve some international travel
  • Overtime available
