The role responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain all reliability plans with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
  • Identify and report on all potential failures within a process.
  • Lead all reliability processes with the emphasis on standardisation across the site.
  • To use Engineering analysis to identify an ongoing improvement plan for the site to ensure 100% plant availability.
  • Optimise the CMMS and work with the Maintenance Manager to ensure the items below are always achieved:
  • Target 100% completion of all PPM’s issued by Senior Engineer/Maintenance Manager and communicate any issues that have prevented this from happening.
  • Where actions are identified during a PPM, work with the Engineering teams to take ownership of appropriate follow up works and close out any outstanding actions as quickly as possible. I.e. ordering spares, checking stock, planning in remedial work. Escalate any issues to Senior Engineer.
  • Lead the Engineering teams to take ownership of countermeasures that have been identified, plan and implement accordingly.
  • Maintain an up-to-date Asset Care register for all of the plant and equipment on site ensuring any modifications are captured and communicated.
  • Prompt resolution of any open actions, working with the Engineers.
  • Discuss with relevant staff on lines to identify any ongoing issues that are to be addressed
  • Actively seek to identify improvement projects across site.
  • Develop a monitoring system for the capture of all relevant operational data
  • Act upon any issues that are shown up by the failure to achieve daily production targets.
  • Undertake regular line walks to discuss any ongoing issues with production staff and also identify any ongoing issues that may not have been raised by production. i.e. unusual noises, smells, visual checks across all areas
  • Ensure standard of organization and cleanliness is maintained in working areas and other areas of engineering responsibility.

 

The person we’re looking for:

  • Time served engineer, HNC or ONC Qualification.
  • Demonstrates a solid working knowledge of GMP and HACCP.
  • Demonstrate compliance with Company Rules and ensure that discipline is maintained at all times.
  • Ensure that the Company Disciplinary Procedure is adhered to.
  • Demonstrate compliance with all requirements of the Company’s Health and Safety Policy
  • You and your team pursue safe working practices
  • You must take action if any machinery or your working
  • environment becomes unsafe or if you see anyone doing anything unsafe. Any such instances are to be documented and reported.
