We’re searching for a Business Development Manager for a startup software company in Middlesbrough. Focusing on tools that help online casinos and operators in iGaming improve their conversion rate and maximise revenue. As they continue to grow – rapidly – they’re expanding their sales team to help us support and grow the business.

 

The role responsibilities:

  • Manage your own pipeline of prospects from lead-gen to contracted clients (we use Hubspot)
  • Onboard new clients, providing strategic advice and delivering product recommendations based on their needs
  • Get to know the iConvert solution and iGaming industry inside out, so that you can deliver expertise to our prospects and demonstrate the value in our solution
  • Understand client needs and industry trends, and use this insight to help develop and improve our platform
  • Deliver product demonstrations and record videos showcasing what we do and our fantastic results
  • Identify new business opportunities and potential partnerships
  • Engage directly with decision-makers, internally and externally
  • Attend industry events, often these are international (at the minute, they’re virtual)
  • Achieve and report on KPIs agreed with the CEO

 

The person we’re looking for:

  • A self-starter with a positive attitude and passion for selling
  • Strong work ethic, able to bring a tone of energy to the role and the company
  • Be tech-savvy, able to learn how to use new tools and systems quickly, and super confident using a mix of communication, presentation and other business tools
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Be keen to learn new skills, and proactively work on your own personal development (with our support)
  • Once you close a deal, that’s it… at iConvert, you’ll need to play a key part in the onboarding of clients you bring on and ensuring they’re set up for success, as well as maintaining our 100% client retention rate
  • You’re not a team player – we’re a startup, and it’s an all-hands-on-deck kind of vibe. We’re all working towards a shared goal!
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a SaaS sales environment
  • Demonstrable ability to source leads, convert prospects and close deals by phone and in-person while hitting established sales targets – basically, you need a proven track record of success in B2B sales
  • Organisational skills are a must as you will need to be able to keep on top of the progress of all open and closed deals. We use Hubspot so more bonus points if you have experience in using this too
