This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a highly successful manufacturing company based in South Tyneside who is currently expanding. They have an excellent reputation for the well-being of their staff including ample opportunities for training and progression. The business is looking for a driven and enthusiastic individual with an administration and data entry background.

The role responsibilities:

  • Key Orders accurately, ensuring all checks have been completed, including price, availability, correct warehouse, correct dates, adding notes and discussing with the customer, anything that could potentially prevent the order from shipping
  • Deal with Credits and RMA’s, recording the information in the main Spreadsheet,
  • Effective use of questioning and listening techniques to understand the customer’s application requirements, ensuring cross-selling from product range where possible and when speaking to a customer is required
  • Contact customers to request payment for Pro-forma orders as soon as the order has been placed and add notes to the order, else the dates on the order need amending, again with notes on the order
  • Deal with all department reports that have an effect on goods being despatched
  • Operate effectively within current policies and procedures relating to pricing, order entry and lead times
  • Develop effective working relationships with team members, internal departments and other businesses sites
  • Maintain accurate customer records on accounts, updating information as and when required
  • Attend training and develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills
  • Provide additional support for the inbound Customer Sales & Service team when required
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of their product range

 

The person we’re looking for:

  • Experience in order processing, administration and Data Entry
  • Effective communicator both orally and in writing
  • Commercially aware
  • Creative problem-solving ability
  • Highly self motivated-willingness to “go the extra mile”
  • Capable of working under pressure, prioritising workload
  • Enthusiastic & tenacious attitude and quick learner
  • Team player, willing to adapt to changes
  • Working to deadlines/targets
