Our client is a rapidly growing manufacturer based in South Tyneside. Due to growth they are looking to increase their friendly customer service team. The team works at a fast pace to ensure our competitively short lead times are met.

The Role
– The day to day role will involve delivering a professional, friendly, helpful and personal service to our customers. You will communicate by phone, email and face to face providing customer updates on orders, answering product and service-related queries and providing an excellent aftercare experience. Duties include;
– Assisting customers by phone, email and face to face
– Providing top standard aftercare assistance to customers
– Communicating with the workshop and dispatch departments to stay up to date on orders
– Collaborating with the marketing and design departments to create perfect bespoke furniture pieces
– Liaising with courier companies to gain updates on shipments
– Demonstrating conflict resolution to achieve high customer satisfaction and retention rates
– Processing orders manually into the system
– Maintaining up to date knowledge on products and services
– Understanding company policies and terms of sale
– Scanning and filing incoming invoices
– Taking payments by invoice, phone and cash handling as well as processing refunds
– Using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
– Creating and updating information logs for reports

The Person
– The successful applicant will work alongside our Customer Service staff ensuring all orders are fulfilled to the highest possible standards. Training will be provided, however a confident approach to using IT software and experience within a customer service role is required.
– Experience in a Customer Service role, 2 years minimum
– Friendly and professional communication skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Strong IT skills and use of Microsoft Office
– Excellent written communication and literacy skills
– Ability to use various IT systems and adapt to changes
– Flexibility during busier periods with ability to work overtime and weekends where needed
