Zenith People are proudly representing a public sector client based in Durham, who are looking for an Administration Officer to help with increased workloads. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a reputable company and contracts will be extended for the right individuals.

Responsibilities:
– Process mail, answer and deal with telephone/personal enquiries and correspondence on behalf of the Operations Manager/s
– Maintain manager diary and schedule appointments as requested
– Manage efficient information storage and retrieval systems, both manual and computerised
– Research, prepare and supply information as required including statistics, tracking information and producing reports
– Co-ordinate meetings including arranging venues, sending invitations, organising agendas, taking minutes and following up associated action points
– Administer Legal Panels, including setting agenda’s, collating information, distributing outcomes, and maintaining appropriate tracking systems
– Work with Team Leader and Operations Manager/s to develop systems and processes to ensure best practice with regards to Legal Panel procedures
– Provide administrative support to grievance and disciplinary investigations
– Prepare complex documents using a variety of formats including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
– Complete other duties relevant to the grade as appropriate

Person Specification:
– BTEC National in public admin or NVQ Level 3 Business (or equivalent)
– Experience of carrying out an administrative role in a busy office environment
– Minute taking
– Experience of I.T Packages including Microsoft Office
– Excellent communication skills
– Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
– Ability to use own initiative
– Good interpersonal skills
– Excellent organisational skills
– Good computer/ keyboard skills
