    Our client is a looking for an experienced Demand and Production Planner to coordinate and develop the interface between the site and it’s customers

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop the relationship between the plant and affiliates, ensuring that the customer is formally represented within the plant
    • Monitor and report on customer service performance by use of KPI’s
    • To ensure the right product is made at the right time in order to maintain the accepted level of customer service in line with company policy
    • To liaise with the production team in order to highlight issues related to maintaining a good customer service level via detailed production plans involving effective use of material labour and machine resource
    • To prepare Quarterly/Monthly schedules on a cyclical basis to support the S&OP process which give a balanced scorecard across the key measures of Customer Service
    • To monitor actual production outputs versus MPS plans and help establish ways and means of achieving improved schedule adherence by use of KPIs.
    • To liaise with suppliers to ensure material deliveries serve the dual purpose of meeting the factory needs while keeping inventory under control
    • Produce vendor schedules where appropriate
    • Close management of material effectivity dates in order to minimise write off costs for both the plant & the customer
    • To review planning and inventory management parameters to ensure continuous improvement
    • Support the Supply Chain Change Management team to ensure NPI’s & transfers are delivered on time
    • Support department & site wide continuous improvement activities

     

    Person Specification:

    • Experience and knowledge of production and supply chain operations
    • Excellent negotiation skills
    • Customer focus
    • Able to communicate with those where English is not the first language
    • Good data analysis skills
    • Literacy in mainframe demand management and planning tools
    • 3+ years experience in a customer focussed role within a manufacturing environment
    • To be self-motivated and able to work under pressure to deadlines
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organisation
    • Good working knowledge of MRP systems and PC software

    Responsibilities

    • To ensure that production equipment is effectively maintained to support production activity.
    • To maintain preventative maintenance systems
    • To reduce machine breakdown time
    • To coordinate the Shift Maintenance Technicians
    • To ensure that all maintenance records & reporting systems are maintained

    Responsibilities

    • Provide contact point for IT Helpdesk service, intercepting daily requests for service and assistance via telephone, email and personal contact.
