Zenith Training are proud of each and every one of our candidates on programme, but this March we would like to present our ‘Success story of the month’ accolade to, Maddy Duggan.

Maddy works as an Account Manager for our clients at Frontier Group, an industry leading business technology provider. She has recently achieved her Level 2 Diploma in Customer Service, to support her professional development. Part of the programme framework was the aim to achieve at least a Level 1 in Functional Skills Maths and English.

Already meeting initial course aims – having previously achieved her level 1 Maths and Level 2 English Functional Skills – Maddy wanted to ‘raise the bar’ and progress further to achieve her Level 2 Maths Functional Skill assessment. Through her programme advancement, maths became the single biggest challenge for Maddy, primarily because it felt removed from her day-to-day role and purpose. With the support of tutor Liz Stevens, key to achieving that reach was helping to make maths more relevant; Liz explains, “[we] did some work, looking at how she can apply maths to everyday situations”.

After a dedicated journey of tuition, determination and confidence-building, we are thrilled to report that Maddy has succeeded and achieved her Maths Level 2 Functional Skill qualification! No one is more delighted than tutor Liz, who stated, “To say that I am proud of her is an understatement”.
