Connor Glendinning came to us in April looking for work within the South Tyneside region. With his previous experience and skills, we were able to place him as a temporary worker at our client Phoenix Steel in South Shields.

After being employed by Zenith for 3 months, the management team at Phoenix decided to offer Connor a permanent, full time position based on his exceptional performance and attitude during his short time there.

Connor commented:
“Before I joined Zenith I was always in and out of temporary work with different agencies. Since starting at Phoenix I have learnt a variety of new skills including operating over head cranes, how to operate saws and guillotines and how to tip and load wagons safely. I have only been there 3 months and Phoenix are going to put me through a level 3 qualification at college, train me on forklift trucks and give me training on welding, fabrication and decoiling. I would highly recommend Zenith, they have given me an opportunity and have believed in me. Which has paid off as I am now a full time permanent member of staff at Phoenix.Phoenix Steel is a great place to work, they have a supportive management team and want to get the best out of everyone”.

Peter Shiels, Quality & Technical Director, added:
‘‘We have worked with Zenith People for a number of years now, and when we approached them to find us another worker, they found Connor. Zenith did all of the leg work for us, interviewing, ensuring all of the legislative information was gathered and most importantly finding the right calibre of person. Connor came to us on a temporary contract and has proved to be a huge success, so much so we offered a permanent job which he has accepted. Connor is hard working and a good personality to have in the business and I would hugely recommend the whole process that Zenith People goes through’
